Event Summary

Dinner Under the Stars is a curated five-course plated dinner at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. The meal will be prepared by several celebrated Denver chefs and paired with wines by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits sommeliers. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Colorado Restaurant Foundation’s hospitality education, training, and support programs, including Colorado ProStart® and the Angel Relief Fund. There will also be a live auction.

Participating Restaurants:

  • Dana Rodriguez, chef/co-owner of Super Mega Bien, Work & Class, and Cantina Loca
  • Paul C. Reilly, chef/co-owner of the soon-to-open Apple Blossom
  • Thach Tran, corporate chef for Secret Sauce Restaurant Group, representing Ace Eat Serve
  • Toru Watanabe, head sushi chef of Matsuhisa Denver
  • Ryan Taylor, executive chef and partner/owner, and Saura Kline, executive pastry chef, of Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group

It is our utmost priority to keep our staff, partners, and guests safe at this event and minimize the risk of COVID-19 spread in light of the contagious delta variant. As a result, we’re following safety protocols consistent with what the City and County of Denver has imposed for performances in this location, with the hope that we will make Dinner Under the Stars a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.

  • All Dinner Under the Stars guests will be required to present proof of either full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event, as well as confirm a lack of COVID-19 symptoms, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, nausea, etc., or having been in close contact with anyone confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • All event staff will be required to wear masks throughout the event.
  • Guests are asked to wear masks when not seated, eating, or drinking.

These protocols are in addition to the following safety standards being observed at the Opera House and throughout the Performing Arts Complex:

  • High-touch surfaces and common areas such as door handles, counters, and tables are being cleaned and disinfected regularly.
  • Global Plasma Solutions’ Needle Point Bipolar Ionization technology has been installed to clean indoor air. 
  • We are utilizing smaller tables with ample spacing to reduce density. 
  • In addition, the doors will remain open throughout the dinner to increase airflow.  

We will work with local, state, and national entities to keep our event safety guidelines up to date. Thank you for your support and cooperation!
